Subversion: the transformation of traditional industries "touching the net"
Online fitting, face-brushing, mobile payment … Nowadays, with the gradual maturity of technologies such as big data, cloud computing, Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, there are new paths and new models for the transformation and upgrading of thousands of industries. As a result, the traditional industries such as manufacturing, transportation, catering and clothing have been upgraded in an all-round way, which has enabled China’s digital economy to develop rapidly, while China’s supply-side structural reform has also made great achievements due to the prosperity of the Internet.
In the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, in the part of "accelerating the construction of an innovative country", it is specifically proposed to provide strong support for building a network power, a transportation power, a digital China and a smart society. This means that with the continuous development of the Internet in China, the integration of various fields with the Internet in China will inevitably deepen, adding impetus to the development and progress of the whole society.
For example, in the medical field, artificial intelligence technology in China has been widely used. According to incomplete statistics, there are currently 139 enterprises involved in artificial intelligence medical care in China. New medical methods such as robots, cloud technology and voice electronic medical records have also begun to be applied in some medical institutions.
In the field of manufacturing, the State Council issued the Guiding Opinions on Deepening "internet plus’s Advanced Manufacturing Industry" and Developing Industrial Internet at the end of last year, proposing that by the middle of this century, the innovative development ability, technology industry system and integrated application of industrial Internet will reach the international advanced level in an all-round way, and its comprehensive strength will enter the forefront of the world.
"As an emerging product of the deep integration of a new generation of information technology and manufacturing industry, the industrial Internet is becoming the key support of the new industrial revolution and an important cornerstone for deepening internet plus’s advanced manufacturing industry, which will have an all-round, deep-seated and revolutionary impact on the future industrial economic development." Chen Zhaoxiong, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, said.
Upgrade: Lifestyle changes constantly.
Today, China has become the largest mobile Internet market in the world. According to the data, as of December 2017, the number of netizens in China reached 772 million, and the Internet penetration rate reached 55.8%. The huge user market has driven all kinds of innovations in the Internet field, which are rapidly reconstructing the lifestyle of everyone in China, making life more refined, intelligent and networked.
Taking tourism as an example, the deep integration of the Internet and traditional tourism has become an irresistible trend of the times, and relying on the Internet platform to create refined and customized services has also become a major trend in the tourism industry. For example, in the field of e-commerce, there is a brand named "Temple Library". In order to build itself into a "boutique lifestyle platform", it began to set foot in international tourism and reached a cooperation with Sri Lanka Tourism Bureau. This tourism product is not just a "tour", but its "lifestyle team" visited 100 Sri Lankans living in the local area, from the official tourism bureau to local entrepreneurs, architects, artists, etc., and finally provided users with highly refined tourism products according to their needs, presenting the most authentic and vivid Sri Lanka.
Great changes have taken place in the retail industry in China, making it quick and convenient for China people to buy things. For example, Suning cooperated with Microsoft to create a "business platform" for dialogue-based e-commerce, and Wal-Mart formed a strategic alliance with JD.COM to open a global flagship store. Customers can buy goods in supermarkets in this city without leaving home.
Bike-sharing, Alipay and other new technologies and models popular in China have not only changed the lifestyle of China people, but also allowed the whole world to share the development achievements of China Internet.
"No matter Finnair or more than 2,000 restaurants and shops in Europe, including the famous Harrods Department Store in London, Alipay can be used for payment now, and the number of shops that can be used is increasing every day." The German "Manager Magazine" reported this.
Development: Smart China is on the rise.
A few days ago, China Information and Communication Research Institute released a report showing that in 2017, the scale of China’s digital economy reached 27.2 trillion yuan, accounting for 32.9% of the gross domestic product (GDP). In addition, in 2017, the number of employed people in the digital economy in China reached 171 million, accounting for 22.1% of the total number of employed people in that year, which has become an important channel to attract employment. At the same time, the rise of a series of concepts, such as network power and smart society, has greatly accelerated the development process of China’s social system. For example, in terms of intelligent transportation and intelligent public security management, China ranks among the top in the world. China’s Wisdom Eye and other systems have played an important role in protecting the social security of China residents, and China has thus become the safest city in the world.
In addition, relying on Internet technology, China has made full efforts in smart cities and e-government. According to incomplete statistics, at present, 290 cities, counties and districts in China have become national pilot smart cities. By the end of last year, the number of users of China Alipay, WeChat city service platform, government WeChat WeChat official account, Weibo, mobile phone application and other information platforms had reached 240 million, exceeding 30% of the total number of netizens. This shows that netizens in China have participated extensively and deeply in the construction of smart cities and smart China.
The "Global Digitalization Index of Government-related Fields" launched by McKinsey Global Institute also points out that the degree of government digitalization in China ranks eighth in the world, surpassing the United States and the European Union. Facts show that the rising wisdom China is actively using the Internet to improve social governance and promote social development, and at the same time, it also provides China’s experience and China’s plan for promoting the global digitalization and networking process.
