Beijing Railway welcomes the peak return passenger flow, delays the subway, and opens the night bus to facilitate passengers to leave the station.
BEIJING, Beijing, October 5 (Xinhua) China Railway Beijing Bureau Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "China Railway Beijing Bureau") introduced that on October 5, China Railway Beijing Bureau is expected to send 1.4 million passengers. In order to fully cope with the peak of return passenger flow, Beijing Railway Station coordinated measures such as subway delay, adding night buses and car ferry to reduce the waiting time for passengers to leave the station when large passenger flows arrive at night.
On October 4th, China Railway Beijing Bureau sent a total of 1,351,700 passengers, including 559,300 passengers in Beijing (Beijing Railway Station sent 69,300 passengers, Beijing West Railway Station sent 133,400 passengers, Beijing South Railway Station sent 207,900 passengers, Beijing North Railway Station sent 22,400 passengers, Qinghe Station sent 28,000 passengers, Beijing Chaoyang Station sent 32,000 passengers and Beijing Fengtai Station sent 46,900 passengers).
On October 5th, Beijing Bureau of China Railway is expected to send 1.4 million passengers, including 750,000 passengers in Beijing and 184,000 passengers in tianjin railway station and other stations under its jurisdiction.
In order to fully cope with the peak return passenger flow and pay close attention to the safety key, Beijing Railway Station uses diversion railings (belts) to set up a buffer zone outside the entrance during the peak pit stop, and arranges personnel to publicize and guide passengers to enter the station in an orderly manner.
According to the return passenger flow, Beijing West Railway Station has intensified the marking and control of platforms and exits, increased the manpower, answered passengers’ inquiries in time, ensured passengers’ safe boarding and disembarkation, and strengthened communication and coordination with the station management committee and data sharing. When large passenger flows arrive in a concentrated way at night, it has coordinated measures such as subway delay, adding night buses and car ferry to reduce the waiting time for passengers to leave the station.
Beijing South Railway Station monitors the changes of arrival passenger flow in real time, unblocks all exit passages, increases the attention and control of key parts such as escalators, platforms and exits, promptly answers passengers’ inquiries, helps passengers to transfer and transfer conveniently, and guides passengers to travel safely and quickly.
Beijing North Railway Station strengthens road-ground linkage, and strengthens four mechanisms of daily information sharing, major situation reporting, emergency linkage and traffic connection coordination with key station management committees or transportation bureaus to ensure the smooth transfer of passengers.
Combined with the fact that the return passenger flow is gradually increasing, tianjin railway station strengthens the platform organization and completes the passenger boarding and disembarkation organization. Set up a "Youth Gang Commando", coordinate 50 young volunteers, go deep into the field to help the gang, focus on escalator care, platform organization, organize party members to charge ahead in the rush hour and key train organization, strengthen passenger patrol and publicity and guidance, and open all exit gates to ensure passengers’ safe and orderly exit.
Shijiazhuang Station organized special personnel to strengthen the patrol inspection of passenger transport equipment and facilities, focusing on toilets, self-service vending machines, waiting room lighting, passenger elevators, air conditioning and ventilation and other equipment and facilities, increasing the inspection frequency to ensure that the equipment and facilities are in good working condition and convenient for passengers to use normally.
Zhangjiakou Station organized cadres and workers to carry out emergency response study and drills, and optimized the streamline of passengers entering the station, including security inspection, real-name registration system, and opening double gates at the ticket gate to ensure smooth passengers entering the station. Party member Commando, composed of 15 employees, was set up to help shift work in key positions such as waiting room, service desk and comprehensive service center, to answer passengers’ doubts and guide key passengers to the station. Contact the station emergency material suppliers in advance, prepare enough drinking water and food, and ensure that the emergency food supply for passengers is in place in case of emergencies.
In view of the peak return passenger flow, Handan Station arranged personnel to open a ticket window, organized 22 volunteers to check the danger, the entrance and the ticket office to publicize and guide passengers to enter the station, and at the same time organized off-duty cadres and workers to help organize passengers to get on and off the platform to ensure the safety of passengers during peak hours.
In order to cope with the large passenger flow during the holiday return, Shijiazhuang Passenger Transport Section made a safety plan in advance, set up an emergency closing team to help organize boarding and disembarkation, and each station used an interactive machine to inquire about the passenger flow in advance, judge the risks, ensure safety, and prevent accidental boarding and landing and falling on the platform. The large passenger flow station will provide security for key passengers, and the cabin attendants will implement the "three mornings, three mornings and three unblocked" to protect the passengers’ safe and warm travel.
